Trevor Thompson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Trevor is currently working as an Engineering Manager and Site Lead at Cirata since April 2021. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at WANdisco where they held various roles, including Engineering Lead/Co-founder of Belfast Development Centre, and Java Team Lead/Co-founder of Belfast Development Centre. At WANdisco, Trevor played a key role in developing and growing the company's Source Code Management suite of products.

Trevor Thompson attended Larne High School from 1983 to 1988, where they obtained their GCSEs. Trevor then attended Larne Technical College from 1988 to 1990, earning a BTEC OND in Business Studies. From 1990 to 1994, Trevor studied at The University of Huddersfield, completing their Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Information Technology (Software Development).
