James MacPhail

James MacPhail is an experienced professional in the fields of agriculture, carbon management, and biochar technology. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Sequest Ltd, James also holds advisory board positions at Rookwood Operations Ltd, Circular Carbon, and Carboneers, and serves as the Executive Vice President of Applied Gaia. James possesses a diverse background, including roles as a Technical Expert for Fasera, a Biochar Consultant for Rectella International Ltd, and a Commercial Advisor for Carbon Gold Ltd, where efforts focus on mitigating climate change and enhancing soil productivity through biochar-based products. James has also contributed as a Commercial Strategy Consultant for Carbo Culture and an International Development Consultant for Carbofex. James holds a Graduate Diploma in Agriculture from Royal Agricultural University and a BA in Corporate Communication from Solent University.
