Guiomar Valderrama

Guiomar Valderrama is a backend engineer who has worked with Python and Django for over seven years. Guiomar started their career as an intern developer at CETTICO - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they designed and implemented a gamified learning platform using PHP. Guiomar then moved on to Witei, where they served as lead developer for seven years. In their role at Witei, they oversaw the migration from Python 2 to Python 3, as well as various Django upgrades. Guiomar also focused on product development and functionality analysis. In their most recent role as principal backend engineer at Circular, they continue to work with Python and Django while also focusing on internal APIs and testing.

Guiomar Valderrama has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Guiomar is also Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager from CISCO Networking Academy. Guiomar has certification from Coursera in Gamification and from University of Cambridge in Proficiency in English.

Guiomar Valderrama reports to Humberto Gómez, Engineering Lead. They work with José Luis González - Senior Backend Engineer, Luca Panzavolta - Senior Full Stack Engineer, and Cristina Martín - Frontend Engineer.
