Erich Zwyssig has a strong background in digital design engineering and research. Erich has worked as a Principal Digital Design Engineer at Cirrus Logic since 2016. Prior to that, they were a Research Associate at The University of Edinburgh, where they focused on Li-Fi technology. Erich also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, where they conducted research from 2013 to 2015. Erich Zwyssig began their career as a PhD student at EADS IW, specializing in engineering and design. Erich has also held roles as a Principal Engineer at Wolfson Microelectronics, a Digital Design Engineer at Bernafon AG, and an Electrical Engineer at Ascom.
Erich Zwyssig holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Science in Lucerne, which they obtained between 1989 and 1993. Later, they pursued an MSc in Low Power Digital Filter Design for Hearing Aid Applications from The University of Edinburgh from 2000 to 2001. Erich then continued their studies at The University of Edinburgh, completing an MSc/Dip in Speech and Language Processing between 2008 and 2009. Lastly, Erich earned a PhD in Speech Technology Research from The University of Edinburgh, which they successfully obtained from 2009 to 2013.
