Premkumar Arunachalam

Premkumar Arunachalam has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Premkumar currently holds the position of Head of Technology Delivery at CirrusLabs since October 2021.

Prior to their current role, Premkumar worked at Cognizant from 1997 to 2021 in various leadership positions. As the Sr. Director - Projects and Practice Leader - Digital Integration Sub-Practice, they led a team working on cloud-native integration, API integration, and EDA technologies using platforms like AWS, Azure, Apigee, Dell Boomi, and Kafka. Premkumar focused on talent sourcing, training, delivery management, and business development in this role.

Before that, Premkumar served as the Practice Leader for Hybrid Integration Platforms, where they led a team of 750+ professionals in delivering solutions to integrate on-premise and cloud applications. Premkumar also led the Business Development efforts in the Integrated Process Management Practice at Cognizant, responsible for pipeline planning, pre-sales, and sales support activities for North America and European geographies.

As the Country Leader for Integrated Process Management Practice in Germany, Premkumar was responsible for sales planning in collaboration with Account Executives.

Premkumar also held the role of Competency Leader - Emerging Technologies, managing a technology sub-practice within the Business Process Integration practice. Here, they oversaw a team of 200+ individuals and was responsible for defining career paths, managing operations, and planning supply and demand.

Additionally, Premkumar has experience as a Program Manager, where they managed a multi-year, multi-country rollout program for a financial services customer. Premkumar has also managed projects as a Manager - Projects, leading teams ranging from 5 to 25 members, and as a Sr. Associate - Projects, playing the role of Module Lead in a large application development project.

At the start of their career, they worked as an Associate - Projects, where they contributed to J2EE development projects and worked on Power Builder with Sybase.

Premkumar Arunachalam completed their education in a chronological manner. Premkumar began their educational journey at Vidya Vardhaka Sangha High School, where they obtained their SSLC degree in all subjects from 1988 to 1991. Afterward, from 1991 to 1993, they attended Vijaya College for their Pre-University College degree in PCME. Moving forward, from 1993 to 1997, Premkumar pursued their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication at RV College of Engineering. Finally, they furthered their education by completing a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani between 2003 and 2005. In addition to their formal education, Premkumar Arunachalam obtained a certification in Cloud Integration: Application Modernization from Informatica in September 2020.
