Daniel Ahr

Deputy Chief Counsel- Operations, Engagement, & Risk

Daniel Ahr currently serves as the Deputy Chief Counsel for Operations, Engagement, and Risk at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since October 2018, following a notable tenure at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from February 2005 to October 2018, where key roles included Deputy Chief of Staff for the National Protection and Programs Directorate and Attorney Advisor. Ahr holds extensive experience in legal matters related to cybersecurity and infrastructure protection, having provided legal guidance during significant events such as Hurricane Katrina and the 2017 hurricane season. Concurrently, Ahr has contributed to the Military Adaptive Sports Program as a coach. Academically, Ahr earned a Doctor of Law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy, along with a certificate from the University of Virginia School of Law in National Security Law.
