Salil Kanetkar

Salil Kanetkar is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer currently employed at Armorblox since January 2020, where responsibilities include prototyping deep learning models for Named Entity Recognition and utilizing Kubernetes and Docker for model production. Prior to this role, Salil served as a Data Scientist at the Copyright Clearance Center from August 2018 to January 2020, playing a key role in architecting an ML data pipeline for topic modeling of 27 million Medline data files and developing deep Hierarchical Neural Nets for MeSH ontology classification. Salil's academic background includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Additionally, Salil completed a summer internship at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015, focusing on object detection.
