Tai Qin

Tai Qin has a diverse work experience. They started their professional career as a Data Scientist Intern at @WalmartLabs in May 2014. They then joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Research Assistant in August 2010 and worked there until May 2015. In June 2015, they joined Walmart Global eCommerce as a Senior Software Engineer/ Data Scientist and worked there until October 2016. In October 2016, they transitioned to Citadel Securities as a Quantitative Researcher and later became the Head of Alternative Data Alpha in an undisclosed month in 2022.

Tai Qin has a strong academic background and possesses expertise in the fields of statistics, computer science, mathematics, and statistics. From 2010 to 2015, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistics. Additionally, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the same institution. Prior to this, from 2006 to 2010, Tai Qin completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Science and Technology of China.
