Rachael Hartfield

Rachael Hartfield, CMI, currently serves as the Manager of Indirect Tax at CITGO since April 2023, specializing in providing indirect tax advisory services to clients in the Houston area, notably within the exploration and production and midstream oil/gas sectors. Prior to this role, Rachael held various positions at KPMG from June 2014 to April 2023, culminating as Tax Managing Director, and also served as State and Local Tax Senior Manager and State and Local Tax Manager. Rachael's experience includes performing complex state and local tax projects such as audit defense and tax recovery. Earlier in Rachael's career, significant expertise was gained as a State and Local Tax Senior Associate and Associate at Grant Thornton, where responsibilities included preparing multi-state tax returns and assisting with due diligence reviews. Rachael holds an MBA in Business Administration and a BBA in Accounting, both from Texas State University.
