Maja Knezevic

Maja Knezevic is an accomplished professional in the field of internal audit and compliance, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Internal Audit Transformation at Citi since June 2024. Prior to this role, Maja held the position of Director of Internal Audit, Quality Assurance at Citi, where oversight was provided to a team responsible for regulatory issue validations associated with significant compliance projects. Maja's previous experience includes roles at Scotiabank, where leadership was demonstrated in various audit capacities, notably managing Canadian Banking Audit and Global Compliance testing teams. In earlier positions, Maja contributed to internal controls consulting at Philip Morris International and established an internal audit department at Magellan Aerospace. Maja holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University.
