Dan Kessler

Dan Kessler is the Chief Business Officer at Citizen, a company they joined in January 2020.

Prior to joining Citizen, Dan was the Chief Executive Officer at harbor from January 2020 to January 2022. At harbor, Dan reimagined readiness, making disaster preparedness easy and accessible for everyone.

Before harbor, Dan was the VP of Global Business Development at Headspace Inc. from September 2016 to January 2020. In this role, Dan drove global business growth by entering new markets, unlocking new audience segments, and driving member value inside and outside of the app.

Dan Kessler began their career as a Summer Associate at Kohlberg Ventures in June 2009. Dan then went on to work as Business Development and Investments at Happy Madison from July 2010 to May 2011. In January 2011, they became President and Co-Founder of Palindrome Media and held this role until May 2013. From June 2013 to August 2016, Dan served as SVP of Operations, Strategy, General Manager at Hallmark Cards.

Dan Kessler's educational career began at Hendrick Hudson High School. Dan then attended college at Columbia University in the City of New York, where they studied physics and English comparative literature. After graduating from college, they pursued an MBA at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, where they studied business administration and management.
