Victoria Thornton

Victoria Thornton is an accomplished leader in volunteer engagement with extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Currently serving as the Director of Volunteer Community at Citizen Schools since November 2021, Victoria oversees the organization's volunteer strategy and has developed a Mentor Credentialing program to connect young professionals with middle school students. Previously, Victoria held the position of Senior Manager of Volunteer Engagement at The Fresh Air Fund, where recruitment and management of over 500 volunteers were key responsibilities. Victoria's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree from Hunter College in Urban Studies and Political Science. With a proven track record in volunteer coordination and community engagement, Victoria is dedicated to enhancing the impact of volunteerism in various capacities.
