JD Sherman

JD Sherman was appointed as a director in March 2020.

Mr. Sherman is currently president and chief operating officer at HubSpot, where he has served since 2012.

Prior to HubSpot, Mr. Sherman spent six years as Akamai's chief financial officer, where he was responsible for finance, strategic planning, and corporate development during a period of significant growth for Akamai. He also served as the chief financial executive of IBM's $21 billion Systems and Technology Group. During his 15-year career at IBM, JD held a number of senior executive positions in finance.

He holds a BA in Economics from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Sherman is a member of the audit Committee. The Board of Directors has determined that Mr. Sherman is “independent” within the meaning of the Company’s director independence standards and the director independence standards of The Nasdaq Stock Market, LLC and qualifies as a “financial expert” under the SEC’s rules.
