Kimberly Salazar, MD, MBA, MHA has a diverse work experience in healthcare administration and medical roles. Kimberly began their career as Chief, Allergy/Immunology Service at Brooke Army Medical Center in 2012. Kimberly then worked as a WTB Surgeon in the U.S. Army Recovery Care Program from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they pursued an Army-Baylor MHA/MBA Graduate Student program at Baylor University. Kimberly then worked as an Administrative Resident at Baptist Health System from 2018 to 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they served as Chief Medical Officer at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center. In 2021, they joined Evans Army Community Hospital as Chief Medical Officer and held the position until 2023. Currently, they are Chief Medical Officer at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital.

Kimberly Salazar, MD, MBA, MHA attended The University of Texas Medical Branch from 1998 to 2002 and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine. Kimberly then pursued further education at Texas Tech University from 1994 to 1997, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Kimberly completed their Internship in Internal Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center from 2002 to 2003 and went on to complete their Residency in Internal Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center from 2003 to 2005. Kimberly later pursued a Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center from 2007 to 2009. In recent years, Kimberly pursued a dual degree, obtaining their Master's in Health Administration (MHA) and Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Baylor University between 2017 and 2019. Kimberly also holds multiple certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) from the US Army in 2019, Board Certifications in Allergy and Immunology from the American Board of Allergy and Immunology in 2009, and in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005. Additionally, they obtained Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross in March 2021.
