Jerrel Floyd

Jerrel Floyd is an experienced engagement reporter currently working at City Bureau since March 2022. Previous roles include Summerville Reporter at The Post and Courier from October 2018 to February 2022, Reporting Fellow at ProPublica Illinois from September 2017 to September 2018, and Graduate Research/Reporting Fellow at the Investigative Reporting Workshop from August 2016 to August 2017, where significant contributions were made to investigations with the Washington Post and InsideClimate News, as well as PBS FRONTLINE. Floyd has also held positions as an Investigative Intern at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Investigative Reporter with Georgia News Lab, and various editorial roles with The Maroon Tiger Student Media Group. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College and a Master’s Degree in Journalism & Public Affairs from American University.
