Missy Schentzel

Missy Schentzel, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Missy is currently working at City First Broadway, where they hold the position of Senior Corporate Controller and SVP. Prior to this, they served as the SVP Financial Reporting Manager at the same company.

Prior to joining City First Broadway, Missy worked at Great Western Bank, where they held the role of Controller. Missy led the accounting department of a $13.1 billion bank, overseeing various areas such as accounts payable, fixed assets, trust reporting, investment accounting, reconcilement, and general ledger. Their responsibilities also included coordinating the month-end close process and presenting financial statements to the CFO. Missy demonstrated expertise in analyzing complex financial matters during their tenure at the bank.

Before their time at Great Western Bank, Missy worked at The Bancorp as a Financial Reporting Officer. During their employment, they facilitated financial reporting operations for a $5.6 billion financial institution. Their responsibilities included preparing and reviewing quarterly earnings releases and SEC reporting, coordinating the month-end close process, and presenting financial statements to the CFO and CEO. Missy also played a vital role in business-line reporting and analysis, oversaw general ledger maintenance and reporting framework, and contributed to the development of finance staff within the organization.

Missy began their career at Orion Food Systems, currently known as Hot Stuff Food Systems, where they served as a Corporate Store Accountant. Missy then transitioned to BankFIRST, where they held the roles of Senior Accounting Analyst and Accounting Analyst. Following this, they worked at Marshall BankFirst as an Accounting Manager.

Throughout their career, Missy has consistently demonstrated their CPA accreditation and ability to effectively manage and lead accounting departments, coordinate financial processes, and analyze complex financial matters. Their experience across various organizations in the banking and financial sectors showcases their extensive expertise in the field.

Missy Schentzel, CPA has an Associate of Science degree with a CPA from Nettleton College, where they studied Accounting and Computer Science from 1987 to 1990. Prior to their college education, Missy attended Dawson-Boyd in 1987, but the degree and field of study are unspecified.
