Nic Barnes Fcipd

Nic Barnes FCIPD has a comprehensive work experience spanning various positions and industries. Nic began their career at The AA, where they served as Head of HR and later Head of HR (all functions inc Pensions, HS&E, and Comms), playing a significant role in executing business plans and partnering with the CEO and AAX team. From there, Nic joined RSM UK as Head of Human Resources (Interim role), where they led a team of over 50 employees and oversaw key strategic projects aligned with the company's business strategy. Nic then became HR Director, Client Services, leading a team of 30 employees and providing HR support to over 500 clients. Nic also worked as the People Director at Selecta, where they had the opportunity to contribute to the company's success as the European market leader in self-service coffee and convenience food solutions. Currently, Nic is serving as HR Director at City & Guilds and will assume the role of Executive Director, People in July 2023.

Nic Barnes FCIPD completed their education at the University of Southampton from 1990 to 1992. They earned a degree in Human Resources Management and Services, specifically the CIPD qualification. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1985, Nic attended Cranbourne School, where they obtained 7 GCSEs/BTEC Higher National in Business, as well as qualifications in CIPD and FCIPD. Their studies at Cranbourne School centered around subjects such as Business, Economics, and Human Resources.
