Rakesh Kumar

Rakesh Kumar is a seasoned professional in business development and sales, currently serving as the Business Development Manager for East Asia at City & Guilds since November 2018. In this role, Rakesh leads operations management, budget development, performance monitoring, and contracts negotiations to drive growth in the Southeast Asia region. Prior experience includes positions as Key Account Manager at Randox, where Rakesh strengthened distributor partnerships in Malaysia and Brunei, and as a Sales Specialist at Merck Millipore, focusing on revenue growth through sales strategy execution. Rakesh also held the role of Product Specialist at PLT Scientific, pioneering the Life Science Division's product marketing and sales efforts, and began a career in research at UCSI University as a Research and Development Executive. Rakesh holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons in Biotechnology from UCSI University.
