Jonathan Cannon

Jonathan Cannon serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel at City National Bank, providing expert advice on compliance with a range of consumer credit laws and regulations. Areas of focus include the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Anti-Money Laundering rules, and others, alongside contract negotiation and developing policies for risk management and new products. Prior to this role, Jonathan Cannon practiced as Counsel at Buckley Sandler LLP, specializing in mortgage-lending law, and has experience in public relations and education. Jonathan Cannon holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, a Master of Arts in English Literature from Middlebury College, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Colby College.
