Avi Epstein

Avi Epstein currently serves as Principal Planner for the City of Albany, New York, starting in May 2022. Previous roles include Neighborhood Stabilization Coordinator and Zoning Officer for the City of Schenectady from April 2017 to June 2022, and Transit Analyst at NYSDOT from October 2016 to April 2017. Avi's earlier experience includes a position as Research Intern at NYSERDA, contributing to the Residential Baseline Study, and as a Lighting Engineer at BSSL, designing lighting for large events. Additional experience includes managerial responsibilities at Chinatown Restaurant and carpentry apprenticeship at The Rosenblum Companies. Avi holds a Master's degree in Regional/Environmental Planning from the University at Albany and Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Government from Binghamton University.
