Sydney Parmenter

Sydney Parmenter is an experienced emergency management professional currently serving as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Ann Arbor since January 2021. In addition, Sydney is a board member of the Michigan Emergency Management Association since April 2023. Previous roles include Emergency Management Specialist and Continuity of Operations Planning Specialist at the University of Michigan from December 2017 to January 2021, and Emergency Management Specialist and EHSEM Technician at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from July 2010 to December 2017. Sydney holds a Master's degree in Homeland Security with a focus on Public Health Preparedness from Penn State World Campus, earned between 2017 and 2019, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, completed from 2011 to 2017.
