Bill Killingsworth

William Killingsworth currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Killingsworth was the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Jacksonville from November 2015 to September 2023, and previously held several positions within the City of Jacksonville's planning department, including Chief of the Community Planning Division and Principal Planner. Killingsworth also served as the Director of Community Development for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, overseeing extensive federal programs aimed at enhancing community development across the state. An alumnus of the University of Florida with a B.S. in Real Estate and Urban Analysis, Killingsworth has made significant contributions to urban planning, policy creation, and community development throughout a career spanning over three decades.
