Steve Gardner has extensive work experience in engineering and project management roles. Steve started their career as a project engineer at Harding Lawson Associates, Inc in 1991, where they worked until 1996. Steve then joined Arapahoe County, Littleton Colorado as a program manager from 1999 to 2006. During this time, they also served as the Stormwater Program Manager at Arapahoe County Department of Public Works from 1996 to 2006. In 2006, Steve became the Director of Technical Operations at Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority until 2008. Steve then worked as the Engineering Manager at Moser & Associates Engineering, Inc from 2008 to 2009. After that, they became the Technical Services Director at Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority for a brief period in 2009. From 2010 to 2013, Steve worked as a Senior Professional Engineer II at SEH. Steve then joined the City of Colorado Springs as the Stormwater Program Manager from 2013 to 2015. Currently, Steve is employed at the City of Aurora as the Principal Engineer, a role they have held since 2016. Steve Gardner earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado University at Boulder, where they studied from 1987 to 1991.
