Nicholas Richard-Thompson, MPA, is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Illinois Black Advocacy Initiative, where efforts focus on supporting Black-community advocacy organizations to address systemic injustices. In addition to this role, Nicholas has been involved with the City of Aurora since June 2017, holding various positions including Coordinator for the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs and Communications Manager. As a screenwriter for Digital Alliance, Nicholas crafts scripts for diverse projects, while previous experience includes social media marketing and content production roles. Nicholas holds a Master of Public Administration from Aurora University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Columbia College Chicago, and an Associate of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Waubonsee Community College.
