Rob DuValle has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Rob began their career as a Human Resources Assistant at Oregon State University in 1993 and later worked as a Human Resources Analyst at Washington County from 1995 to 1998. Rob then served as a Human Resources Manager at Multnomah County from 1998 to 2001. After that, they held the position of Human Resources Director at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training from 2001 to 2003. Rob then joined the City of Forest Grove as a Human Resources Manager from 2003 to 2011. Currently, they serve as the Human Resources Director for the City of Bend, a position they have held since 2011. In their roles, Rob DuValle has focused on employee engagement, compensation, benefits, policy development, staffing, employee communications, staff development, and performance management. Rob is known for their results-oriented approach and creative problem-solving skills.
Rob DuValle completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a focus on Public Administration at Oregon State University from 1988 to 1992. Before that, they attended Regis High School from 1984 to 1988. In 1993, they briefly studied Public Administration at Lewis & Clark College. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and SPHR, in 2015 and 2000 respectively, from SHRM and the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
