Nuria Rivera-Vandermyde

City Manager at City of Boulder

Nuria Rivera-Vandermyde is an experienced local government executive, currently serving as the City Manager for the City of Boulder since May 2021. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic goals aligned with City Council directives and ensuring equitable delivery of City services. Previously, Rivera-Vandermyde held the position of Deputy City Manager in Austin, where oversight of multiple departments and projects was paramount. A former City Coordinator for Minneapolis, Rivera-Vandermyde provided leadership and administrative services to the Mayor and City Council. Additional roles include Director of the Department of Regulatory Services in Minneapolis, and presidential leadership at Indigo Enterprises, Inc. In the correctional field, Rivera-Vandermyde served as CEO of Correctional Health Services Corp. and held significant positions in the Puerto Rican Department of Corrections and Department of Justice. Academically, Rivera-Vandermyde obtained a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA from Amherst College.
