Anna Bentley

Anna Bentley has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Prior to their current role as Director of Community Development at the City of Bozeman, they served as Interim Director and Deputy Director in the same department. Anna also worked as a Planning Branch Manager at the Fairfax County Park Authority. Anna's experience in urban planning includes being an Urban Planner at Urban Planning Consulting, where they managed projects related to transit, park policy, development review, and community engagement. Anna also held the position of Senior Planner at the Fairfax County Park Authority, where they managed park and public realm tasks. Anna began their career as an Urban Planner at HNTB and served as a Planner at the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning. Anna gained early experience as a Planning Intern at the District of Columbia Office of Planning and the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations, Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance. Anna's professional journey started as a Webmaster and Graphic Designer at the American Council of Life Insurers and as a Consultant and Technical Writer at Fu Associates, Ltd.

Anna Bentley obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Anthropology from Washington and Lee University from 1992 to 1996. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master's degree in City Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
