Robert Leeman

Robert Leeman has extensive work experience in the field of planning and codes. Robert currently holds the position of Planning and Codes Director at the City of Brentwood, Tennessee, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they served as Deputy Director at the Metro Planning Department in Nashville, TN, from July 2015 to July 2022. During their time at the Metro Planning Department, they also held the role of Land Development Division Manager from January 2009 to July 2015. In 2018, they briefly served as the Interim Executive Director at the Metro Nashville Planning Department. Robert's career in planning began in 1998 at the Metro Nashville Planning Department, where they held positions ranging from Planner I to Senior Planner until January 2009.

Robert Leeman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy from The University of Kansas, where they attended from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Urban Planning degree at the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Urban Planning, specializing in Housing and Urban Development. Robert completed their master's program from 1996 to 1998.
