Jonna Thomas Mph

Jonna Thomas, MPH, is an experienced epidemiologist currently working for the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut, since September 2022, where responsibilities include data analysis, outbreak identification, and communication regarding communicable diseases such as COVID-19 and influenza. Prior roles include serving as a Food Scientist at Subway from June 2015 to March 2021, overseeing vendor audits and food safety measures, and contributing to new product development as a Food Technologist at DOLE Fresh Vegetables between December 2009 and September 2014. Jonna also has experience in academic settings, having worked as a Teaching Assistant at San Jose State University and completed research at NASA Ames Research Center. Jonna holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Vermont and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from San Jose State University.
