Jennifer Merenda

Jennifer Merenda has a diverse work experience in the animal care industry. Jennifer started their career as a Resident Assistant at Becker College, where they organized programming and fostered a community in a residence hall. Jennifer then worked as a Student Trainer and Kennel Assistant at Becker College Lenfest Animal Health Center, where they implemented training programs for teaching animals and participated in their care. Jennifer also gained experience as a Kennel Assistant at Diamond Creek Pet Retreat, where they provided care and training to boarding animals.

In addition, Jennifer has worked as a Pet Training Instructor at PetSmart, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques to teach classes and provide private behavior correction sessions. Jennifer also served as a Lead Pet Training Instructor/Coordinator at Naugatuck Veterinary Hospital, offering wellness care initiatives, puppy parties, educational seminars, and basic training courses.

Jennifer has also worked in animal control roles, including Chief Animal Control Officer at the City of Bridgeport Connecticut, where they were responsible for overseeing animal control operations, and Per-Diem Animal Control Officer at the City of Torrington.
