Alan Guard

Alan Guard, CGFO, currently serves as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Brownsville, Texas, since October 2023. Previously, Alan Guard has held various positions in local government, including Local Government Consultant and Interim Services for the City of New Fairview in early 2020, and City Manager for the City of Pilot Point from 2017 to 2019. Alan Guard's experience also includes roles as Interim Finance Director in Murphy, Texas, and as City Manager in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where significant improvements in organizational climate and infrastructure were achieved. Additional roles include Interim Director of Finance for the City of Fate and Director of Financial and Information Services for the City of Rowlett, overseeing extensive financial operations and departmental management.
