Mike Ramirez has extensive experience in public administration and community services, currently serving as City Manager for the City of Carpinteria since December 2021, after previously holding the position of Assistant City Manager. Prior roles include Recreation Supervisor at the City of Moorpark and Recreation/Human Services Coordinator at the City of Oxnard, where responsibilities included project management, event coordination, grant writing, and volunteer coordination. Mike Ramirez also has experience in educational program management as the After-School Program Manager for the Oxnard Elementary School District Educational Foundation and Recreation Coordinator for Hueneme Elementary School District. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy & Administration in City Management from California Lutheran University and a BA in Sociology from California State University, Northridge, along with an AA in General Education from Ventura College.
