David Roberts

David C. Roberts, Jr. currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Carson, California, a role held since June 2018, following a prior position as Assistant City Manager. Prior to this, David held the title of Assistant City Manager and Director of Human Resources for the City of Hawthorne from November 2012 to June 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as a Human Resources Analyst for the City of San Bernardino and as a First Line Supervisor/Planner at BNSF Railway. David's career commenced in the US Army as a Human Resources Specialist from April 2000 to April 2005. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach.
