John Sefton

John Sefton, Jr. has extensive experience in community services and parks and recreation management. John currently serves as the Community Services Director for the City of Chandler, Arizona. Prior to this, they held the same position at the City of Peoria for ten years. John also served as the Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Tucson, AZ. Before their role in government, Sefton worked in the private sector as the Executive Director of Community Management for Pulte Homes and the Communities of Del Webb and as the Manager of Parks and Recreation for Anthem by Del Webb. John started their career as the Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Prescott Valley, AZ. Sefton began their professional journey as a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Henderson.

John Sefton, Jr. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a focus on Human Resources from Arizona State University. John also pursued Business Administration at Northern Arizona University. Later, they pursued a Master of Administration degree specializing in Land Use and Community Planning at Northern Arizona University.
