James Mercer

James Mercer currently serves as the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Chicopee since July 2021. Mercer has extensive coaching experience, notably as the Head Soccer Coach for Western United Pioneers FC since August 2014, where recognition includes the 2023 USYS New England Coach of the Year. Successful coaching highlights include guiding the 2007 Elite Girls team to multiple championship titles and qualifying for national competitions. Previous roles include Admissions Counselor for Athletics and Head Women's Soccer Coach at Bay Path University, achieving the most wins in the program's history. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from Endicott College.
