Nick Conte currently serves as the Economic Development Manager for the City of DeLand since January 2020, following a tenure as the Economic Development Director for the City of Holly Hill from July 2016 to January 2020. Prior to this, Nick held the position of Executive Director at the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce from December 2010 to July 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing the chamber's business development program and brand establishment. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Technology Services at the Daytona Beach Area CVB from 2001 to February 2011, and a self-employed Political Campaign Strategist with notable advisory roles in various local campaigns. Nick's career began as a Business Development Manager at UpMarkit, Inc. from 1999 to 2001. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies-Business from the University of Central Florida, studies towards an MBA at the University of Miami, a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Rollins College, and an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management from Daytona State College.
