Stephen Gay

Stephen Gay currently serves as the General Manager of Water Utilities & Street Operations for the City of Denton, a position held since March 2021, overseeing the delivery of water and wastewater services and the maintenance of public infrastructure. Previously, Stephen was the Director of Water Utilities, managing plant and field operations for various water services. Prior experience includes Utilities Operations Manager for the City of Westminster, where responsibilities encompassed the management of wastewater and water distribution systems, and Manager of Security & Emergency Preparedness at Long Beach Water Department, focusing on security operations and emergency response strategies. Stephen's career also includes a role as Water Systems Supervisor for the City of North Las Vegas, managing budget, safety programs, and compliance with regulations. Academically, Stephen holds a Master of Science in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix.
