Lydia Rae Levinson

Lydia Rae Levinson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community development, fund management, and program leadership. Currently serving as Deputy Chief Development Officer at the City of Detroit since January 2019, Lydia also held the position of Fund Development Officer. Previously, Lydia worked as Director of Grants & Program Support at Eastern Market Corporation, where responsibility included managing grants which constituted approximately 50% of the organization's funding. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Program Manager at Michigan Community Resources, where Lydia led the Sustainable Community Initiatives program, and various positions at Iowa State University focusing on research, community engagement, and urban planning projects. Lydia holds dual Master's degrees in Community and Regional Planning and Sustainable Agriculture from Iowa State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Community and Regional Planning.
