Barbara Voss is an experienced professional in economic development and city management, currently serving as Deputy City Manager and previously as Economic Development Manager for the City of El Segundo since August 2015. Voss held the position of Senior Regional Manager at the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation from 2010 to 2015 and served as Director of Tax Credits and Incentives at Ryan from 2008 to 2009. Additional roles include Regional Director for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2005 to 2008, Senior Community Development Specialist for the City of Chula Vista from 2001 to 2005, and Project Coordinator at Project Management Los Angeles from 2000 to 2001. Voss also worked as a Construction Project Coordinator for The Festival Companies from 1999 to 2000, as an Economic Development Fellow with the City of Los Angeles from 1997 to 1999, and as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 1994 to 1996. Early career experience includes a role as Corporate Briefing Center Associate at Silicon Graphics. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Literature and Political Science from UC San Diego and an M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola Marymount University.
