Matt Paulin

Matt Paulin has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and administration. Matt started as a Various Budget Roles at the California Department of Finance in 1997, where they worked until 2007. Matt then served as the Deputy Director/Chief Deputy Director at the California Department of Motor Vehicles from 2007 to 2011. After that, Matt worked in various budget roles again at the California Department of Finance from 2011 to 2016. Matt then became the Chief Financial Officer at the City of Stockton, CA from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, they joined the County of San Joaquin as an Assistant County Administrator until 2021. Currently, Matt is the Director of Finance at the City of Elk Grove, starting from May 2021.

Matt Paulin completed their Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of the Pacific, which they attended from 1992 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from California State University, Stanislaus, which they completed between 1994 and 1996.
