Daragh Deegan is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in aquatic ecology and water quality management. Currently serving as the Water Quality Manager for the City of Elkhart, Indiana, since August 2009, Daragh oversees the Analytical Laboratory, Drinking Water Sampling, and the Biological Monitoring Program. Previously, Daragh worked as an Aquatic Biologist, managing community monitoring activities in Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties, and served as Brownfields Coordinator for the City of Elkhart, focusing on the assessment and redevelopment of Brownfields. Additionally, Daragh has taught Introduction to Aquatic Ecology as an Associate Faculty at Indiana University South Bend and worked as an Environmental Scientist at Alt & Witzig Engineering, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Ecotoxicology and Aquatic Biology from Purdue University Fort Wayne and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Goshen College.
