Heidi Behrends Cerniwey

Heidi Behrends Cerniwey, ICMA-CM, currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Ellensburg since May 2021. Prior to this role, Cerniwey held multiple positions at the City of Tumwater, including Assistant City Administrator and Communication & Marketing Specialist, from December 2012 to May 2021. Additionally, Cerniwey worked as a Management Analyst/DA at the City of Lacey from March 2006 to December 2012. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College, an educational experience at Harvard Kennedy School in 2019, a Bachelor's degree from Metro State University, and studies at the University of Minnesota.
