Robert Klein

Robert Klein has a wide range of experience in the field of building codes and inspections. Robert started their career at Boulder County, Colorado as a Chief Combination Inspector from 1984 to 1994. Robert then worked at the City of Longmont as a Senior Combination Inspector from 1999 to 2006. Following that, they joined the Town of Hilton Head Island as the Building Official Director of Building and Fire Codes, where they retired in 2016. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Building Official at the City of Federal Heights since March 2017.

Robert Klein holds an Associate's vocational degree in Plumbing Mechanical from the State University of New York at Delhi, which they obtained from 1971 to 1975. Robert also studied Solar Design at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1978 to 1979, although they did not obtain a degree in this field. In addition to their education, Klein has obtained several certifications, including ICC Building Official from the International Code Council, State of Colorado master plumber, State of Colorado residential electrical inspector, and State of Florida Building Official and Combination Inspector.
