Alison Sutter

Alison Sutter is the Performance and Sustainability Officer at the City of Grand Rapids. Alison has a law degree and masters of environmental management and policy from Indiana University and their bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Alison’s expertise and knowledge as a full-time on-site sustainability officer at Metro Health Hospital and their contagious passion for sustainability make their an invaluable resource for hospitals interested in implementing or expanding upon a sustainability program. Alison is an expert in sustainable healthcare and extremely passionate about helping organizations increase profitability while decreasing environmental and human health impacts. Alison effectively engages and brings together diverse stakeholders to implement sustainability best practices and cross disciplinary programs.

Alison Sutter attended the University of Cincinnati for their Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Alison then went on to attend Indiana University Bloomington for their Master's in Public Administration with a focus in Environmental Policy and Management. Finally, they attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law for their Juris Doctorate in Environmental Law.
