Sarah Paterson

Sarah Paterson currently serves as the Manager of Community Recreation for the City of Grande Prairie, a position held since July 2023. Prior roles include Director of Community Services at the Town Of Vermilion from March 2022 to April 2023 and Wellness Coordinator at Lloydminster Public School Division from August 2016 to June 2022. Sarah's experience also includes project and volunteer coordination at Prairie North Health Region (2014-2017) and therapeutic recreation assistance at Alberta Health Services (2011-2014). Earlier career highlights include managing recreation programming for Fort Nelson First Nations and serving as a paramedic with BC Ambulance Service. Sarah's educational background includes a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University and a Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Additional training includes a Certificate in 4 Seasons of Reconciliation from First Nations University of Canada.
