Megan Martin has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of community development, planning, and environmental consulting. Megan is currently working as the Community Development Director for the City of Grover Beach, where they oversee various departments and initiatives related to planning, building, and code compliance. Prior to this role, they served as the Planning Manager for the City of Pismo Beach. Megan also has experience in private consulting, having worked as the Director of Entitlement and Compliance at Kirk Consulting. Additionally, they have held positions with the County of San Luis Obispo as a Supervising Planner and Planner, as well as with the City of Clovis. Megan's early career includes a role as a Planning Intern with the County of San Luis Obispo and a position as a Staff Geologist at Antea Group. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in project management, regulatory compliance, and environmental assessment.
Megan Martin earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2006 to 2008. Megan then pursued their Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2010 to 2012.
