Janice Castle, MPA has diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Janice started their career as a Research Analysis Assistant at UConn Health Center in 1998. Janice then worked as an Office Assistant at Trinity College in 2001 and as a Scholarship Intern at The Hartford from 1999 to 2003. Afterwards, they joined the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as an Administrative Assistant from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, they returned to The Hartford and held multiple roles including HR Coordinator, Executive Assistant, Marketing Associate, and University Relations Consultant until 2015. Additionally, Janice served as the President of the Chateau Wood Condo Association from 2011 to 2014. Janice also worked at Travelers as a Senior Consultant in HR University Relations in 2015. From 2014 to 2020, Janice worked at the Urban League of Greater Hartford, where they held the position of President of Urban League of Greater Hartford Young Professionals. Currently, they are the Director of the Office of Community Engagement in the Office of Mayor Luke A. Bronin at the City of Hartford, a position they have held since 2016. Janice Castle brings strong leadership, community engagement, and organizational development skills to their current role.
Janice Castle, MPA, has an extensive education history. Janice obtained a Diploma in General Studies from Weaver High School in 1999. Subsequently, Janice pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General at Trinity College-Hartford from 1999 to 2003. In 2007, they attended the University of Connecticut, where they earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Janice furthered their education by completing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at the same institution from 2009 to 2011.
