Eric Rucker

Eric Rucker has a strong background in Information Technology, with their most recent position being the Director of Information Technology at the City of Hickory. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at Saint Mary's School and as the Director of Information Technology at the Town of Garner. In their role at the Town of Garner, Eric also served as an IT Manager, Sr. IT Specialist, and IT Specialist, gaining experience in various aspects of managing and maintaining systems and networks. Eric has expertise in monitoring system security and integrity, resolving complex issues, and managing virtualized server environments.

From 2017 to 2018, Eric attended Western Governors University and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Technology: Security and Assurance.

Prior to that, they attended Western Governors University from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Network Administration with a specialization in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management.

Before their time at Western Governors University, Eric attended Rowan University from 1998 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Law and Justice.

In addition to their degrees, Eric has obtained several certifications. Eric obtained the MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification from Microsoft in July 2018. In May 2017, they earned the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
