Kenneth Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Kenneth has held positions such as Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the City of Huntsville, AL, where they also served as the Multicultural Affairs Officer. Kenneth has also worked as the Executive Director of Leadership Empowerment Enterprise and as the President and CEO of Maximum Life Enhancement, Inc., specializing in organizational management and leadership development. Additionally, they have experience as a host and producer for a radio talk show called 2nd Chance on WJOU 90.1 FM and as a Dean of Humanities & Social Sciences at Calhoun Community College. Kenneth is currently the host of the Jazz with Kenny Anderson Podcast.

Kenneth Anderson obtained a B.A. degree in Psychology from Oakwood University between 1975 and 1979. Kenneth then pursued further education and obtained an M.S. degree in Clinical Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University between 1985 and 1990. In addition to their academic achievements, Kenneth also holds a certification in "Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace" from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education, which they obtained in September 2021.
