Andrew Ansoorian

Andrew Ansoorian has been working in Human Resources for over 15 years. Andrew has experience working in both the public and private sector, and has served in both an expert and managerial capacity. Andrew is currently the Director of HR & Risk Management for the City of Indio, and has held this position since March 2021. Prior to their current role, they were the Subject Matter Expert for the Virginia Department of Education from April 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they served on the Teacher Pathway Working Group and was responsible for leading all HR functions for the organization. Andrew has also served as an Expert Reviewer for both the Learning Policy Institute and Battelle for Kids. In addition to their work in Human Resources, Andrew has also been an Adjunct Faculty member at James Madison University since January 2015 and an Adjunct Professor-Human Resources at Capella University from January 2007 to December 2017.

Andrew Ansoorian reports to Scott Trujillo, Deputy City Manager. They work with Rob Rockwell - Director of Finance/Assistant City Manager, Ian Cozen - Director of Information Technology, and Tim Wassil - Director of Public Works. Some individuals on their team include Bethany Maciel - Management Analyst, Ana Segura - HR Assistant, and Venez Duong - HR Analyst.
